Privacy Policy for Mouse Echo Delay for NVDA

Mouse Echo Delay (“the add-on”) is an add-on for the NVDA screen reader developed by Carrie on Accessibility. It runs entirely inside NVDA on your own computer.

Summary

Mouse Echo Delay does not collect, transmit, or store any information about you. It has no account, no sign-in, no server, and it never connects to the internet.

What Is Stored, and Where

The add-on keeps two settings inside NVDA's own configuration file, alongside NVDA's other settings: whether the delay is on, and how long it is. Nothing else is written anywhere, and these settings never leave your computer.

What the Add-on Does

The add-on holds back NVDA's own “the mouse moved” event until the mouse has been still for the delay, then lets it through. It does not read the content of other programs, does not read what NVDA speaks or shows in braille, and does not change what NVDA announces.

What We Don't Do

• We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personal information.
• We do not use analytics, telemetry, or advertising of any kind.
• We do not sell or share any data, because none is ever collected in the first place.

Your Control Over Your Data

Uninstalling the add-on from NVDA's Add-on Store removes it completely. Its two settings remain in NVDA's configuration file until you reset NVDA's configuration, and have no effect once the add-on is gone.

Children's Privacy

Mouse Echo Delay collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.
